The dome is far easier to make than you would imagine. It has been specially designed to give multiple flat facets of 'glass' which reflect light like a jewel. 
 
The roof balistrades are made from PLA.
 
The front and rear elevations are 4 layers deep giving a realistic depth to the reveals.
